The owner wanted a makeover of this old fashioned bathroom, which has white cabinets, white walls, white laminated countertop and white vinyl floor. The sink, bathtub and toilet are apple green. Since he is on a limited budget, he cannot replace the sink, bathtub and toilet, therefore I had to choose a color theme that would go with the apple green.

Instead of fighting with the green, I decided to work with it. I chose green and grey as the theme color and a cream colour as a complement to give this bathroom a light and fresh feeling.

The counter top and cabinet is painted in grey and lime strie effect. As I gave the wall (a coat of light grey paint?) and added a new laminated maple floor, I put mouldings stained in the same tone around the mirror.

The rest of the room is painted in a creamy colour. The original fluorescent light was harsh and cold, so I replace it with incandescent light.
